Ward: Order of the Phoenix
Good evening, everyone. Forgive the bluntness of this entry, but I understand that there are some of our number who wish to invite others to join us. Now that Voldemort and his followers know of our number, it may be fortuitous to have some unknown members.

From what I gather, the current candidates include Ted and Andromeda Tonks and Arthur and Molly Weasley. Does anybody wish to throw in another name to be discussed? Sirius, Regulus, would you care to speak for Andromeda? Fabian and Gideon, I assume you would speak for Arthur and Molly?

Added after this:

Doyle Sullivan's name has been added to the list to be considered.

Added after this:

As has Felicity Banges.

Ward: Order of the Phoenix (charmed to sound off the bird song of the Great Tit)
My apologies for the necessity of the birdsong, but as this message is being given in short notice, I thought a pleasant alert would suffice to reach most of you.

A decision has been made, and so the soonest we act upon it, the better. To all those available, we will convene for a brief meeting ten o'clock tomorrow at the Hog's Head Inn so that Michael Dawlish can be added to our ranks.

We have again reached a matter upon which I must request the entirety of the Order to consider and vote.

I present a candidate for membership in Michael Dawlish. I will leave this to Caradoc, now, that he may explain further.

The majority of you have given your vote, and it stands that we now have our decision regarding Marlene. In the best interests of both the Order and her, a time for parting ways has come upon us.

Caradoc, I trust she will be in capable hands with you.

If only it were a matter that could wait long enough to hold a meeting for, I would have done so, but in the press of time, it appears this is best carried out through the journals.

Forgive my vagueness, but the "this" I refer to is as follows:

In light of my conversation with Edgar, it is my understanding that Marlene McKinnon has become - in such a concise word - a danger to the Order. It is unfortunate that we once more arrive at such a place where we must discuss the right to membership of one of our own, but I believe Marlene can be in no better hands than those of the ones who have befriended her and fought alongside her. In making your decisions, I ask that you not disregard personal ties to Marlene, but that you bear them in mind and cast your vote based on what serves the well-being of both the Order and Marlene.

However, before we proceed, a summary of how this came about should be heeded. Sirius and Edgar, I must ask of you this favour. Should anyone else have anything to add, now is very much the time to do so.

I believe it is about time again for another meeting, something we ought to have had before now. The night of Friday the 11th, perhaps? The school is, naturally, not a safe place with all the students here until the 19th. Abe, perhaps a room above the Hog's Head? Or your lovely castle, Mr MacDougal?

We have quite a mess on our hands with the Corners. Until we know who the leak in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement is, we do not want to turn this innocent man over to the Death Eaters, especially if his wife may already be dead.

It would be for the best if we get him out of the country, and soon. Miss Sullivan, you say somebody was trying to get in when you arrived at his home? We simply make it look as though someone meant to attack him, and he ran for his life.

He is muggleborn, yes? If we are trying to avoid the Death Eaters finding him, muggle means would be the best. Can somebody volunteer to purchase him a plane ticket out of the country?

I would like to begin by taking a moment of silence to remember one Dedalus Diggle, who proved himself to be worthy of much more than we ever gave him credit for.

Moving along, there is some important business that must be taken care of. At the suggestions of Mr Dearborn and Ms MacDougal, there are three people that are interested in joining us as vigilantes (to use the term that Minister Rump himself assigned us) in our quest to find and destroy the Horcruxes that the self-proclaimed Lord Voldemort has created, in an attempt to make him defeatable.

Mr Dearborn puts before us one Charity Burbage. I don't doubt that some of you may know of her, if you do not know her directly. Mr Dearborn, if you would be so kind as to state your case for why we should trust Ms Burbage and allow her into the organisation.

Ms MacDougal brings a suggestion of two potential members: one Angus MacDougal and one Nicholas Harrow. Both are vampires, yes, but do not allow any prejudices to colour your judgment of their being fit to join our ranks. Ms MacDougal, if you, likewise, would be so kind as to state your cases for Mr MacDougal and Mr Harrow.

Please consider this carefully. By allowing them into the Order, we are giving them access to all of the information that we have gathered, as well as our own identities.

[ OOC Note: Pretend this is all in dumbledore-ese, I'm on the road and tired and stuff and my English-to-Dumbles translator is on the fritz. ]

Ward: Order of the Phoenix minus Dedalus Diggle
Due to Mr Diggle's recent remarks and seeming lack of ability to exercise discretion in his speech and writings, it has been brought up that he might well become a liability to the Order. His penchant for speaking first and thinking later could well result in a slip-up and a mention of the Order or of our goals in a public forum where anybody may see.

As such, it must be voted upon as to whether we still wish to have Mr Diggle a member of the Order, or if we believe he has become too much of a liability. Mr Dearborn, I understand your reasons for leaving the occupation of Obliviator, but as you have the training and experience in that skill, I must ask that, should we vote Mr Diggle out of the Order, you kindly obliviate him and remove all memory of the Order and our information about the Horcruxes. We cannot afford to have that information fall into the wrong hands.

And so, Order members, I put it to you. Do you wish to have Mr Diggle obliviated and removed from the Order, or do we hope that he knows enough to hold his tongue about us and our purpose.

I believe that eight o'clock the evening of 12 August would be a good time for us all to meet and discuss matters of great importance. I trust you will all be able to take the time away from work in order to be here. Miss Weber has kindly offered me the use of one of her rooms above the Three Broomsticks. We will instead be meeting at Hogwarts.

Mr Bones, thank you for your incentive in creating that wonderful map. Your work will not go unappreciated. I imagine you are skilled at Wizard's Chess. Perhaps you would indulge a doddering old fool with a game after the meeting.
